1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Trackee ("the Service", "we", "us", or "our"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Trackee.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service. If you are using Trackee on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

Trackee is a personal and group financial tracking application. The Service allows you to:

  • Record and categorize personal expenses and income
  • Create groups and split shared expenses among members
  • Track settlements and outstanding balances within groups
  • Set and monitor personal and group budgets by category
  • Manage recurring bills and payment schedules
  • Link and track financial accounts (manually entered balances only)
  • Scan and import bank statements to organize transactions

Trackee is a manual tracking tool. It does not connect to or access your actual bank accounts, credit cards, or any financial institution directly. All financial data in the Service is entered and maintained by you.

3. Eligibility and Account Registration

You must be at least 13 years old to use Trackee. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have parental or guardian consent to use the Service.

When registering, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate
  • Keep your password confidential and not share it with any third party
  • Be solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
  • Notify us immediately at jbdeguzman327@gmail.com if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account

You may register using an email and password, or through a supported third-party OAuth provider (Google or Facebook). When you use a third-party provider, you are also subject to that provider's terms of service and privacy policy.

We reserve the right to refuse registration, suspend, or terminate accounts at our discretion, particularly where we have reason to believe an account is being used in violation of these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You may use Trackee only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use the Service:

  • In any way that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations
  • To transmit, or procure the sending of, any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising material
  • To impersonate any person or entity or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or entity
  • To engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use or enjoyment of the Service
  • To attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, its servers, or databases
  • To introduce viruses, trojans, worms, or any other malicious or harmful material
  • To reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Service
  • To use automated scripts, bots, or crawlers to access, scrape, or interact with the Service
  • To resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercialize your access to the Service without our written consent

Violation of this section may result in immediate termination of your account and, where applicable, referral to appropriate law enforcement authorities.

5. Your Content and Data

Ownership

You retain full ownership of all data and content you submit to Trackee, including expense records, budgets, notes, and uploaded receipts ("Your Content"). We do not claim any intellectual property rights over Your Content.

License to Us

By using the Service, you grant Trackee a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service to you. This license terminates when you delete Your Content or close your account.

Your Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and completeness of Your Content. You represent that you have the right to submit any data you enter into the Service, including financial information related to other individuals in shared groups.

Data Accuracy

Trackee does not verify or validate the financial data you enter. Calculations, summaries, balances, and reports generated by the Service are derived from the data you provide. We are not responsible for errors arising from inaccurate or incomplete data entry.

6. Groups and Shared Features

Trackee allows you to create groups and invite other users to share and split expenses. When you use group features, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • All members of a group can view the expenses, splits, balances, and activity history associated with that group
  • Group administrators may add, edit, or delete expenses on behalf of the group
  • You are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from individuals before entering their personal or financial information into a shared group
  • If you leave a group, your past contributions and expense records may remain visible to remaining members to preserve the integrity of shared records
  • Trackee is not responsible for disputes between group members arising from the use of shared features

7. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information, and forms part of these Terms. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding Your Content), features, design, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Trackee and its developers. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our express written permission. You may not use our trademarks, logos, or trade names without prior written consent.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with or rely on third-party services, including:

  • Supabase — database hosting and authentication infrastructure
  • Google OAuth — optional third-party sign-in
  • Facebook OAuth — optional third-party sign-in

These third-party services are governed by their own terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of any third-party service. Links or integrations with third-party services do not constitute an endorsement by Trackee.

10. No Financial Advice

Trackee is a personal finance tracking tool only. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. The budgets, summaries, and insights provided are based solely on the data you enter and are for informational purposes only.

You should not rely on information from the Service to make financial or legal decisions. Always consult a qualified financial advisor, accountant, or legal professional for such matters.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • Any errors in the Service will be corrected
  • The results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable
  • The Service will meet your specific requirements or expectations

You assume all risk and responsibility for your use of the Service and any reliance on its output.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TRACKEE AND ITS DEVELOPERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES — ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED PHILIPPINE PESOS (₱100.00).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you in full.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Trackee and its developers from and against any claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) Your Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any rights of another person or entity.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time through your profile settings or by visiting our Data Deletion page.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or harmful conduct, or for any other reason we deem appropriate.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will survive.

15. Changes to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or aspect of the Service at any time, including removing features or changing pricing (if any is introduced in the future). We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes, but we are not obligated to maintain any particular feature or version of the Service.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Before pursuing formal legal action, we encourage you to contact us first at jbdeguzman327@gmail.com so we can attempt to resolve the issue informally. Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Philippines.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Trackee regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, or representations relating to the subject matter herein.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
